(6) S 224-013Examine the adjustment of the forward seal plate: (a) Make sure the forward seal plate aligns with the aft seal plate in the limit of 0.00-0.03 inch. (b) Use the flap control lever to extend the flaps. (c) Make sure the clearance between the forward seal plate and the body fairing is not less than 0.03 inch for any flap position. (d) Adjust the shims on the seal plate if it is necessary.
(7) S 864-014Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.
(8) S 864-016Remove the system B hydraulic power (AMM 27-51-00/201).

(1) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system B: "Pressurize Hydraulic System A, B, or Standby" (Ref 29-15-00/201).

Remove the cotter pin from the fairing retaining nut (2).

Remove the fairing retaining nut (2) and washers.
