 CAUTION:_______ REMOVE THE PRELOAD PAD ON THE FLAP BALLSCREW IF YOU
 INCREASED THE THICKNESS OF THE SHIMS BELOW THE
 CARRIAGE BEARING SUPPORT.  A CHANGE IN THE SHIM
 THICKNESS WILL CHANGE THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE PRELOAD
 PAD.  AN INCORRECT ADJUSTMENT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE
 PRELOAD PAD.

 11) If you increased the thickness of the shims, remove the preload pad (Fig. 505). 12) Make sure the deflection of the leaf spring is in the
 limits.
 13) Adjust the flap track fairing (AMM 27-51-52/501).
 14) Do the adjustment of the trailing edge of the aftflap
 again.

If the roller and the ramp do not align in the limit, adjust the thickness of the shims below the ramp. The maximum thickness of the shims is 0.15 inch.
