Set the manual override lever on the valve motor to the POSITION 2.

(2)
Install the bypass valve motor (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the valve motor on the valve and engage the motor drive with the valve cam.
(b)
Install the four screws that attach the valve motor to the valve.
(c)
Install the lockwire on the screws.

Connect the electrical connector to the valve motor.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P6-2 Panel
1) ALT TE FLAP DRIVE AC

(2) Do this task: "Apply External Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system B: "Pressurize Hydraulic System A, B, or Standby" (Ref 29-15-00/201).

Do the Trailing Edge Flap Bypass Valve Test

_______ EDGE FLAPS, THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS AND THE DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Set the ALTERNATE FLAPS arm switch to the ARM position.
