(1)
Adjust the flap cables WFFA and WFFB (Fig. 502):
(a)
Make sure the index mark on the shaft and the mark on the shaft retainer of the flap power unit align in the limit of |0.03 inch.
(b)
If the index marks do not align, adjust the flap power unit: 1) Remove the screws that attach the two coupling sleeves on
the torque tubes to the flap power unit. 2) Disconnect the torque tubes from the flap power unit. 3) Move the flap bypass valve to BYPASS (Position 2). 4) Use the flap drive adapter to turn the flap power unit
until the index marks align in the limit of |0.03 inch.

5) Connect the torque tubes to the flap power unit.
NOTE: If you will do the transmission adjustment, it
____ is not necessary to connect the torque tubes. You will connect the torque tubes during the transmission adjustment.
a) Put the torque tubes on the flap power unit. b) Put the sleeves in their position and install the screws. c) Install the lockwire on the heads of the screws.
(c)
Make sure that you can install the rig pin F-1 freely in the flap control unit (Fig. 501).
(d)
Adjust the tension in the cables WFFA and WFFB to the correct tension shown in Fig. 502. 1) Make sure that you can install the rig pin F-1 freely.
(e)
Install the lock clips on the turnbuckles.
(f)
Remove the rig pin F-1.

Adjust the flap control valves (Fig. 501):
(a)
Make sure that the flap control lever is in the UP detent.
(b)
Install the rig pin F-1 in the flap control unit.
(c)
Make sure the valve slide and the index surface of the control valve for the trailing edge flaps align in the limit of |0.010 inch.
(d)
If the valve slide and the index surface do not align in the limits, adjust the cam link for the trailing edge flaps: 1) Remove the lockwire from the cam link. 2) Loosen the two checknuts on the cam link. 3) Adjust the sleeve to align the valve slide and the index
