Do this task: "Outboard Trailing Edge Flap Removal"
(AMM 27-51-34/401).
S 226-014-002
(2)
Measure the parts on the actuator mechanism for the exhaust gate (Fig. 602):
(a)
Remove the parts.
(b)
Use a micrometer to measure the parts.
(c)
Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 602.
(d)
Replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.
(e)
Install the parts.

1. General_______
A. There is one task in this procedure, a repair of the pushrods for the outboard exhaust gate actuator mechanism. The repair includes the replacement of the rivets that attach the pushrod to the rod end fitting.

Procedure

(1)
Remove the pushrod for the exhaust gate actuator mechanism (AMM 27-51-34/401).
S 358-003
(2)
Repair the pushrod:
WARNING:_______DO NOT MAKE THE RIVET HOLES LARGER. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PUSHROD AND THE ROD END FITTING.
(a)
Remove the broken parts of the rivets from the holes in the pushrod.
(b)
Install the new rivets.

(3) Install the pushrod for the exhaust gate actuator mechanism (AMM 27-51-34/401).
