 (a)  
Attach the cables to the follow-up drum on the aft side of the flap power unit: 1) Make sure the cable routing is correct. 2) Wind the WFFA cable approximately 2-1/4 times around the

 follow-up drum on the flap power unit. 3) Wind the WFFB cable approximately 1/3 times around the follow-up drum on the flap power unit. 4) Make sure cable WFFA is around the follow-up drum on the flap control unit approximately 1-1/2 turns. 5) Make sure cable WFFB is around the follow-up drum on the flap control unit approximately 2-1/2 turns.

 (b)  
Adjust the tension in the cables to the correct tension shown in the table:

 *[1] For a periodic check when there is no discrepancy report, the tension in the cables can be +/-20 pounds from the tension in the table. If you will measure the tension because of a discrepancy report, the tension in the cables can be +/-15 pounds from the tension in the table. When you adjust the tension in the cables, you must use the values from the table.
 NOTE: Permit the temperature of the airframe to stay the same
____ (| 5°F) for a minimum of 1 hour before you measure the tension.
 (c)  
Make sure you can easily install the rig pin in the flap control unit.

 (d)  
Install the locking clips on the turnbuckles.

 (7)  
Turn the torque tubes until the ballscrew nut upstop is 170 to 190 degrees (1/2 turn |10 degrees) from the upstop (Fig. 403).

 (8)  
Attach the torque tubes to the flap power unit (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Apply a thin layer of the grease to the torque tube sleeves and the couplings on the flap power unit.

 (b)  
Put the torque tubes on the flap power unit.

 (c)  
Install the retaining screws to attach the torque tubes to the couplings.

 (d)  
Install the lockwire on the retaining screws.

Remove the rig pin F-1 from the flap control unit.

 Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6 Panel
 1) ALT TE FLAP DRIVE AC


 (11)
 Do the test of the flap power unit (Ref 27-51-54/501).

 (12)
 Fill the hydraulic reservoir if it is necessary (Ref 12-12-00/301).

 (13)
 Install the inboard flap track fairings (Ref 27-51-32/401).
