A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the flap control quadrant.

Prepare for the Removal
S 014-002
(1)
Get access to the flap control quadrant through the passenger cabin floor or through the aft cargo compartment:
(a)
Get access to the control quadrant through the passenger cabin floor: 1) Do this task to remove the carpet over the floor panel:
"Carpet Removal" (Ref 25-27-15/401).
NOTE: The floor panel is 60 inches long and starts
____ 14 inches forward of the flap control quadrant.
2) Do this task to remove the floor panel above the quadrant: "Passenger Cabin Floor Panel Removal" (Ref 53-21-00/401).
(b) Get access to the control quadrant through the aft cargo compartment: 1) Do this task to remove the forward right ceiling panel in
the aft cargo compartment: "Cargo Compartment Ceiling Lining Removal" (Ref 25-52-65/401).

Do this task: "Hydraulic System B Pressurization"
(Ref 27-51-00/201).
(3)
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.

Do this task: "Hydraulic System B Depressurization" (Ref 27-51-00/201).

Do this task: "Flap Control Unit Removal" (Ref 27-51-74/401).

Open the forward access door 1103L.

Remove the Flap Control Quadrant

(1)
Disconnect the WFA and WFB cables (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the turnbuckle lock clips and disconnect the WFA and WFB turnbuckles.
(b)
Install clamps on the cables.
(c)
Install a tag on the cables to identify them.
(d)
AIRPLANES WITH A ONE PIECE WFA/B-2 CABLE; Remove the straps that attach the cable to the quadrant.
(e)
Disconnect the cables from the flap control quadrant.
(f)
Install clamps on the cables.

Remove the flap control quadrant:
(a)
If the access is through the aft cargo compartment, remove the quadrant segment: 1) Remove the bolt that attaches the quadrant segment to the
