1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the inboard trailing edge flap exhaust gate.

Prepare for the Removal

Do this task: Pressurize Hydraulic System B (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Put the flap control lever in the 40-unit detent to extend the flaps.

Do this task: Depressurize Hydraulic System B (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Remove the Inboard Trailing Edge Flap Exhaust Gate

WARNING:_______MAKE SURE YOU HOLD THE EXHAUST GATE IN ITS POSITION. THE EXHAUST GATE CAN FALL TO THE FULL EXTEND POSITION. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

AIRPLANES WITH THREE PUSHRODS; Disconnect the exhaust gate rod assembly from the exhaust gate:
(a)
Remove the cotter pin, nut, washer and bolt from the exhaust gate rod assembly end.

AIRPLANES WITH TWO PUSHRODS; Disconnect the exhaust gate rod assembly from the exhaust gate:
(a)
Remove the nut, washer and bolt from the exhaust gate rod assembly end.
