Remove the bolts that attach the track to the forward support fitting.

Remove the flap track from the airplane.

Remove the applicable access panel 7216 or 7416.
(b)
Remove the bolts that attach the forward support fitting to the wing.
(c)
Remove the forward support fitting from the airplane.

If you will install used parts, do this task: "Inboard Flap Track Inspection" (AMM 27-51-27/601).

Install the forward support fitting if it is necessary (fig. 401):
(a)
Install the inboard bolts: 1) Apply a layer of grease to the flanged spacers and the
thick washers.
2) Apply a layer of the sealant on the bolts.
3) Put the countersunk washer and the thick washer on the
bolt.
4) Install the bolt with the head down.
5) Install the flanged bushing in the support fitting with the
flange up. 6) Put the anti-fret strip between the support fitting and the wing.
(b) Put the support fitting on the lower surface of the wing and temporarily install the inboard bolts, washers and nuts.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE BOLTS ON THE FORWARD SUPPORT FITTING HAVE
_______ THE CORRECT GRIP LENGTH. INCORRECT BOLTS CAN CAUSE A FUEL LEAK.
(c) Install the outboard bolts: 1) Apply a layer of the sealant to the bolts. 2) Put the anti-fret strip between the support fitting and the
wing. 3) Put the countersunk washer on the bolt and install the bolt with the head down. 4) Install the washer and the nut on the bolt.
