4) Tighten the checknuts and install the lockwire on the cam link.
5) Make sure that the threads of the rod end and the sleeve engage in the limits.
6) Adjust the rod end if the threads do not engage in the limit: a) Remove the bolt from the rod end. b) Loosen the checknut. c) Turn the rod end and the sleeve to get the correct
dimension.
d) Install the bolt, washer and nut to attach the rod end.
e) Make sure the valve slide and index surface align in
the tolerance. f) Make sure the threads engage in the limits.

1 TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT CABLE TENSION, PERMIT THE AIRFRAME TEMPERATURE TO STABILIZE (|5 DEGREES) FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE HOUR.
2 FOR A PERIODIC ADJUSTMENT WITHOUT A DISCREPANCY REPORT, THE CABLE TENSION LIMITS ARE |20 POUNDS FROM THE VALUES IN THE TABLE. FOR CABLE TENSION CHECKS AFTER A DISCREPANCY REPORT. THE LIMITS ARE +20/-0 POUNDS FROM THE VALUES IN THE TABLE. WHENEVER YOU ADJUST THE TENSION OF THE CABLE, YOU MUST GET THE VALUES IN THE TABLE.

g) Tighten the checknuts and install the lockwire.
(e)
Make sure the valve slide and the index surface of the control valve for the leading edge flaps align in the limit of |0.010 inch.
(f)
If the valve slide and the index surface do not align in the tolerance, adjust the leading edge link: 1) Remove the lockwire and loosen the checknut. 2) Remove the bolt from the rod end at the follower arm. 3) Turn the rod end to get the correct adjustment. 4) Install the rod end bolt with the washer and nut. 5) Tighten the checknut and install the lockwire. 6) Make sure the threads of the rod engage in the limits.
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE RIG PIN F-1. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP CONTROL UNIT WHEN YOU APPLY HYDRAULIC POWER IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE RIG PIN.
(g)
Remove the rig pin F-1.
(h)
Do this task: "Hydraulic System B Pressurization" (AMM 27-51-00/201).
(i)
Put the flap control lever in the 5-unit detent to extend the flaps.
(j)
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.
(k)
Stop for two minutes, then do this task: "Hydraulic System B Depressurization" (AMM 27-51-00/201).
(l)
Make sure that you can install the rig pin F-1 freely in the flap control unit.
(m)
If you cannot install the rig pin freely, adjust the cam link for the trailing edge flaps: 1) Remove the lockwire and loosen the two checknuts. 2) Remove the rig pin F-1. 3) Do this task: "Hydraulic System B Pressurization"
(AMM 27-51-00/201).
CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL THE RIG PIN F-1 WITH THE HYDRAULIC
_______ SYSTEM PRESSURIZED. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP CONTROL UNIT.
4) Adjust the sleeve to align the rig pin holes for the rig pin F-1. 5) Put the flap control lever in the 5-unit detent to extend the flaps. 6) Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.
