CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ANGULAR CLEARANCE IS 1/4 TO 5/6 (90-300 DEGREES)
_______ TURN OR LESS. A VALUE FOR (X1) NOT IN THE LIMIT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE DURING THE FLAP OPERATION. YOU MUST KEEP THE LATERAL TRIM CORRECTIONS.
(3)
Make sure the angular clearance between the upstop on the ball screw nut and the upstop on the screw yoke is 170 to 190 degrees (1/2 turn |10 degrees) (1/4 to 5/6 [90-300 degrees] turn if you have made lateral trim corrections) (Fig. 503).
S 225-011
(4)
At the No. 4 or No. 5 jackscrew, measure and write down the dimension X1.

Make sure the trailing edge flaps move to the correct position:
(a)
Do this task: "Hydraulic System B Pressurization" (AMM 27-51-00/201).
(b)
Put the flap control lever in the 1-unit position to extend the trailing edge flaps.
(c)
Stop for two minutes, then measure and write down the dimension X2.
(d)
Write this dimension in Table I.

(e)
Measure the dimension X2 with the flap control lever in the 2-, 5-, 10-, 15-, 25-, 30- and 40-unit detents (during the flaps extension).
(f)
Measure the dimension X2 with the flap control lever in the 30-, 25-, 15-, 10-, 5-, 2-, and 1-unit detents (during the flaps retraction).
(g)
Subtract the dimension X1 from the dimension X2 to get the X2 - X1 dimension.
