 6) Tighten the nut on the large diameter bolt to less than 100
 pound-inches. 7) Tighten the small diameter bolt hand tight. 8) Install the cotter pins in the nuts.
 (b)  Attach the flap track to the aft support fitting: 1) Apply the corrosion preventive compound on the large diameter bolt. 2) Install the large diameter bolt through the side load link,
 the flap track and the main link. 3) Apply a layer of the primer on the small diameter bolts. 4) Install the small diameter bolts through the fail-safe
 link, the side load link and the track. 5) Install the washers and the nuts. 6) Tighten the forward nut hand tight. 7) Tighten the large diameter bolt to 600-700 pound-inches. 8) Tighten the aft nut. 9) Install the cotter pins in the nuts.
 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Do this task: "Transmission Installation" (AMM 27-51-71/401).

 A.  There is one task in this procedure: an inspection of the inboard flap tracks. To do the inspection, you measure the diameters of the parts that attach the inboard flap tracks.

Procedure

 (1)
Do the applicable task: Inboard Flap Inboard Track Removal" or "Inboard Flap Outboard Track Removal" (Ref 27-51-27/401).

Measure the parts that attach the flap track (Fig. 601 or 602):

 (a)  
Remove the parts.

 (b)  
Use a micrometer or a vernier caliper to measure the parts.

 (c)  
Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601 or Fig. 602.

 (d)  
Replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.

 (e)  
Install the parts.
