 (c) (d) (e)  Install the bolt to attach the ballscrew to the universal joint.Tighten the bolt to 170-200 pound-inches.Apply a layer of the sealant to the bolt and the nut.
 (3)  S 436-012Connect the torque tube to the right angle gearbox: (a) Make sure the flaps and flap drive system are in the same position as during the disassembly. (b) Apply a layer of the BMS 3-33 or MIL-G-23827 grease to the coupling and the coupling sleeve. (c) Put the torque tube in its position on the gearbox. (d) Move the coupling sleeve on the coupling. (e) Install the three screws to attach the coupling sleeve. (f) Install the lockwire on the screws.
 (4)  S 866-013Supply the system B hydraulic power (Ref 27-51-00/201).
 (5)  S 866-014Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.
 (6)  S 866-015Remove the system B hydraulic power (Ref 27-51-00/201).
 (7)  S 206-016Make sure the flaps are fully retracted.

 A.  This procedure gives instructions for the removal and installation of one ballscrew from each TE flap at one time.

C27001-23 or -24, Ground Lock (for spoilers 0, 1, 8, and 9)

F80040-2, Ground Lock (for spoilers 4 and 5)

F80017-23, Ground Lock (Alternate) (for spoilers 2, 3, 6, and 7) (Use with chamfered flight spoiler clevis)

 (4)  
F80017-33, Ground Lock (Preferred) (for spoilers 2, 3, 6, and 7) (Use with rounded flight spoiler clevis)

 (5)  
C27047-16, Ground Lock (Optional) (for spoilers 2, 3, 6, and 7) (Use with rounded flight spoiler clevis)

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL
_______ CONTROL SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (a) Supply system B hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL HANDLE. AN ACCIDENTAL FLAP MOVEMENT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (b)  
Set the FLAP control lever to the flaps position 40 (flaps down) detent to extend the flaps.

 (c)  
Make sure that the flaps are fully extended.
