Move the flap control lever to the flaps position 0 (flaps up) detent to retract the flaps.

 A.  There is one task in this procedure: an adjustment of the outboard flap track fairings. This procedure is applicable to the two movable fairings on the outboard flaps.

Procedure


 S 825-016
 (1)  
Do this task to make sure the aftflap adjustment is correct: "Outboard Aftflap Installation" (Ref 27-51-39/401).

 (2)  
Retract the trailing edge flaps:

 (a)  
Do this task: "Pressurize Hydraulic System B" (Ref 27-51-00/201).

 (b)  
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.

 (c)  
Do this task: "Depressurize Hydraulic System B" (Ref 27-51-00/201).

Measure the clearance between the trailing edge of the aftflap and the top of the fairing (Fig. 501):

 (a)  
Make sure the clearance is a maximum of 0.10 inch.

 (b)  
If the clearance is more than 0.10 inch, adjust the fairing:


 1)  Do this task: "Pressurize Hydraulic System B" (Ref 27-51-00/201).
