(1)
Remove the sealant from the wheel well ceiling in the area of the flap control quadrant.
S 394-011
(2)
Apply a layer of the sealant in and around the top surface of the 15 holes in the wheel well ceiling.

(3)
If the access is through the aft cargo compartment, remove the quadrant segment (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the bolt that attaches the quadrant segment to the shaft.
(b)
Remove the shaft from the quadrant support.
S 424-013
(4)
Install the flap control quadrant:
(a)
Put the quadrant support on the wet sealant with the studs through the wheel well ceiling.
NOTE: Make sure the quadrant stops are inboard of the shaft.

(b)
Install the three bolts to attach the quadrant support.
NOTE:____Make sure the head of the inboard bolt is up. Make sure the heads of the outboard bolts are down.
(c)
Install the washer and nut on each bolt.
(d)
Install the eight screws with their heads down.
(e)
Install the washers and nuts on the screws.

(5)
If the access is through the aft cargo compartment, install the quadrant segment and the shaft:
(a)
Move the shaft up through the quadrant support until the shaft touches the bearings.
(b)
Put the quadrant above the stop and engage the splines.
