(b) Put the attach fitting (6) on the midflap 1) On the inboard track, install the bolts (65), washers (64, 66 and 69), shims (68)and spacers (67 and 70):
2) On the outboard track, install the bolts (72 and 76), washers (71, 73 and 77), shims (75 and 79), and spacers (74 and 78).
3) Adjust the thickness of the shims to get the clearance shown in Sections I-I, J-J, K-K or L-L.
(c)
Tighten the bolts (65 or 72) to 36-44 pound-inches (4-5 N-m).
(d)
Install the lockwire on the bolts.

If you will install used parts, do this task: "Aftflap Drive Mechanism Inspection" (AMM 27-51-39/601).

Make sure the aftflap is attached to the midflap.

(3)
Measure the length of the pushrods between the center of the bolt holes:
NOTE: The length of the inboard pushrod (tracks 4 and 5) must be
____ 45.91 inches (1,166 mm). The length of the outboard pushrod (tracks 3 and 6) must be 45.08 inches (1,145 mm).
(a)
Adjust the length of the pushrods if it is necessary.
(b)
Install the lockwire on the checknuts.

Install the pushrod on the geneva cam (Section D-D, Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the bushing (7) in the geneva cam.
(b)
Put the pushrod (1) in the geneva cam and install the washer
(9)
between the pushrod bearing and the bushing.
(c)
Attach the pushrod with a bolt (26), a washer (27), and a nut (11).
(d)
Tighten the nut to 120 pound-inches (13.6 N-m).
(e)
Install the cotter pin in the nut.
(5)
Do this task: "Midflap Crank Installation" (Ref Paragraph 17).
