6) Install the cotter pins in the nuts.
(c) Attach the drive rod to the fixed drive link (Section A-A): 1) Install the bushing in the fixed drive link. 2) Install the bolt, washers and nut. 3) Tighten the nut to 200-300 pound-inches (23-34 N-m).
Continue to tighten the nut to align the subsequent cotter pin hole. 4) Install the cotter pin in the nut.

C. Procedure

(1) Install the drive rod:
NOTE: You will attach the drive rod to the midflap fitting during
____ the inboard flap track fairing adjustment.
(a)
Adjust the drive rod to the correct length as shown in Fig. 401.
(b)
Connect the drive rod to the fixed drive link (Section A-A Fig. 401): 1) Install the bushing in the fixed drive link. 2) Install the bolt, washers and nut. 3) Tighten the nut to 200-300 pound-inches (23-34 N-m).
Continue to tighten the nut to align the subsequent cotter pin hole. 4) Install the cotter pin.

C. Procedure

(1)
Install the midflap fitting (Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the center bolt and washer through the midflap fitting (Section H-H).
(b)
Install the spacer and shim on the bolt.
(c)
Put the midflap fitting on the midflap and install the bolts and washers (Detail B).
(d)
Tighten the three bolts to 36-44 pound-inches (4-5 N-m).
(e)
If you did not replace the drive rod or change its length, connect the drive rod (Section F-F):
NOTE: Do not install the drive rod if you replaced it or
____ changed its length. You will install the drive rod during the flap track fairing adjustment.
1) Install the bushing in the midflap fitting. 2) Put the drive rod on the midflap fitting. 3) Install the bolt, washers and nut. 4) Tighten the nut.
