Remove the fixed drive link (Fig. 401):
(a)
Hold the outboard flap track fairing in the extended position.
(b)
Disconnect the fixed drive link from the adjustable rod (Section B-B): 1) Remove the bolt, washers and nut from the fixed drive link. 2) Remove the bushings from the fixed drive link.
(c)
Disconnect the drive rod from the fixed drive link (Detail B): 1) Remove the bolt, washer and nut from the fixed drive link. 2) Remove the bushing from the fixed drive link.
(d)
Disconnect the fixed drive link from the support fitting: 1) Remove the bolt, washers and nut from the fixed drive link.

Remove the fixed drive link from the attachment fitting (Section C-C): 1) Remove the bolt, washers and nut that attach the pin to the
attachment fitting. 2) Remove the pin from the attachment fitting and the fixed drive link.

Remove the fixed drive link.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the outboard flaps and attach a DO-NOT-MOVE tag.
