D. Install the Aftflap Fitting

Make sure that the aftflap is attached to the midflap.

Install the aftflap fitting (Detail G, Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the aftflap fitting (3) on the aftflap. 1) Install the bolts (85) and the washers (84): 2) Tighten the bolts to 65-70 pound-inches (7.3-7.9 N-m).
(b)
Put the bushing (83) in the aftflap fitting.
CAUTION: IF YOU CHANGED THE LENGTH OF THE ACTUATOR ROD, DO NOT
_______ CONNECT IT TO THE AFTFLAP FITTING UNTIL THE AFTFLAP DRIVE MECHANISM ADJUSTMENT. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AFTFLAP AND THE MIDFLAP.
(c) Put the actuator rod (2) in the aftflap fitting. 1) Attach the actuator rod with the bolt (80), washers (81) and nut (82): 2) Tighten the nut to 120 pound-inches (13.6 N-m). Then
