WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
CAUTION:_______MONITOR THE FLAP MOVEMENT CAREFULLY. THE FLAPS CAN BE DAMAGED BY INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED COMPONENTS.
(2) Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit position to extend the flaps.
(3) S 786-008Release the pressure in hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(4) S 216-009Check for wear between the housing and the output shaft (Fig. 601, Index No. 8).
(5) S 026-002Remove the transmission (AMM 27-51-33/401).
(6) S 226-003Examine the transmission: (a) Remove the parts to be examined. (b) Measure the parts.
NOTE:____ Use a micrometer, vernier caliper or a dial indicator.
(c) (d) (e) Compare the dimensions you measured, with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.Replace the parts which are not in the tolerance.Install the parts.
(7) S 426-004Install the transmission (AMM 27-51-33/401).
