WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the trailing edge flaps and attach a DO-NOT-MOVE tag.

F. Install the flap lock tools onto the flap carriage (Fig. 602):

(1)
Move the flaps electrically until the carriage is in the correct position:
(a)
For the outboard flaps, the carriage must be approximately
1.95 inches forward of the full down position.
(b) For the inboard flaps, the carriage must be approximately
7.85 inches forward of the full down position.

(2) Do this task: "Remove Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE THE OUTBOARD FLAPS AFTER YOU INSTALL ONE FLAP LOCK.
