 (1)  
Install the no-coast drag brake (Fig. 402):

 (a)  
Put the support (4) and the safety strap (3) in their position on the airplane.

 (b)  
Put the drag brake (1) in its position and install the bolts (2), washers (6), and nuts (5).

 (c)  
Make sure that the 'Y' dimensions of the ballscrew downstops that you recorded in the removal have not changed.

 (2)  
Connect the flap torque tube to the brake:

 (a)  
Move the spline coupling sleeve on and off of the torque tube spline.

 (b)  
If the sleeve moves freely, install the retaining screws. 1) Install a lockwire between the screws.

 (c)  
If the sleeve does not move freely, adjust the airseal. 1) Loosen the airseal fasteners. 2) Move the airseal until the spline coupling sleeve moves


 freely on the torque tube spline.
 NOTE: If it is necessary, remove the sealant above the
____ airseal to permit the airseal to move up.
 3) Tighten the airseal fasteners to 40-50 pound-inches (5-6 N-m). 4) If you removed the sealant above the airseal, apply sealant to the joint. 5) Install the retaining screws to connect the spline coupling sleeve to the torque tube. 6) Install a lockwire between the screws.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
On the Main Power Distribution Panel, P6:
 1) 6E1, PRI TE FLAP CONT AC
 2) 6E2, PRI TE FLAP CONT DC
 3) 6L19, TE FLAP ELEC CONT OTBD
 4) 6L20, TE FLAP LEC CONT INBD


 (b)  
On the Right Power Distribution Center, P415: 1) 415A32, TE FLAP ELEC INBD

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  Do this task: "Removal of the Door Locks from the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

_______ SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (5)  Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
 (6)  
Remove the DO-NOT-MOVE tag and put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the inboard flaps.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
