2) On each rod end, make sure that the rod end threads can be seen through the inspection hole. 3) Tighten the checknuts on the rod ends.
(d)
Install each rod end with a bolt (6), bushing (7), washers (8 and 9) and nut (10).
(e)
Tighten the nuts to 50-70 pound-inches (5.6-7.9 N-m).
(f)
Align the horizontal adjustable rod with the fitting on the fixed fairing and the tiebolt. Adjust the rod ends if it is necessary.
(g)
Install each end of the rod with a bolt, bushing, washers and nut.
(h)
Tighten the nuts to 50-70 pound-inches (5.6-7.9 N-m).
(i)
Install the tiebolt retainers (3).
(j)
On fixed fairings 4 and 5, install the lube fitting on the bracket and attach it with a nut.
(k)
Tighten the nut to 30-50 pound-inches (3.4-5.6 N-m).
(l)
Install the bonding jumper (4).
(m)
Adjust the seal and the seal depressor.
NOTE: Make sure they touch the wing lower surface as shown in
____ Section A-A and Section B-B, Fig. 403.
G. Put The Airplane Back To Its Usual Condition

(1) Pressurize hydraulic system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
(2)
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.
(3)
Release the pressure in hydraulic system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Install the access panels as necessary:

-563BB, 563CB, 563DB and 563EB on track No. 3
-561AB, 561BB, 561CB and 561DB on track No. 4
-661AB, 661BB, 661CB and 661DB on track No. 5
-663BB, 663CB, 663DB and 663EB on track No. 6.

1. General_______
A. This section contains one task, the adjustment of an inboard flap track fairing. The procedure has these parts:

The access panel removal

The drive rod removal

The retraction of the flaps

The adjustment of the linkage, rods, seals and the shims

An examination of the fairing operation
(6)
The installation of the access panels.
