Remove the bolts (38 and 39), washers (28), and nuts (29) that attach the upstop fitting (21) to carriage.

 (b)  
Remove the upstop fitting.

 (c)  
If it is necessary, disassemble the upstop fitting: 1) Remove the bolt (35), washer (31), and nut (32) from the upstop supports (30 and 37). 2) Remove the lubrication fitting (34) and the upstop roller


 (33). 3) Remove the bushing (36) from the upstop roller.

 (1)  Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the inboard flaps.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Attach the aftflap to the midflap.

Remove the aftflap fitting (Detail G, Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Remove the bolt (80), washers (81), and nut (82) that attach the actuator rod (2) to the aftflap fitting (3).

 (b)  
Remove the actuator rod from the aftflap fitting.

 (c)  
Remove the bushing (83) from the aftflap fitting.

 (d)  
Remove the bolts (85) and the washers (84) that attach the aftflap fitting to the aftflap.

 (e)  
Remove the aftflap fitting.

 (6)
Install a tag on the aftflap fitting with the number of the track.
