Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Move the flaps to the correct position:
(a)
Make sure that the two actuator rods (3) are disconnected from the aftflap (Fig. 401).
(b)
Make sure the aftflap is attached to the midflap.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT LET THE AFTFLAP ARMS TOUCH THE MIDFLAP. THEY WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MIDFLAP.
(c)
Make sure the two actuator rods will not move when you move the flaps.
(d)
Make sure the hooks on the geneva cams (35) are in the released position (Detail E, Fig. 401).
(e)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the flap system in alternate control.
CAUTION:_______MONITOR THE FLAP MOVEMENT CAREFULLY. THE FLAPS CAN BE DAMAGED BY INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED COMPONENTS.
DO NOT MOVE THE FLAPS IF THE AFTFLAP IS NOT ATTACHED TO THE MIDFLAP. THE AFTFLAP AND THE MIDFLAP WILL BE DAMAGED.
MAKE SURE THE HOOK ON THE GENEVA CAM MECHANISM IS IN THE RELEASED POSITION BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAPS. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE THE FLAPS.
(f) Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to move the ball screw nut to the position shown in Fig. 402.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P415 Power Distribution Panel - Right
1) 415M24 ALT OUTBD TE FLAPS
(b)
Make sure the hook on the geneva cam mechanism is in the latched position after the flap extension.
(c)
Manually move the aftflap to the position shown in Section B-B, Fig. 401.

Install the actuator rod on the aftflap fitting (Section D-D):
(a)
Put the actuator rods in the aftflap fittings.
