Tighten the bolts to 36-44 pound-inches (4-5 N-m).

Install the lockwire on the bolts.

Make sure the hooks on the geneva cams (35) are in the released position (Detail E, Fig. 401).
CAUTION:_______MONITOR THE FLAP MOVEMENT CAREFULLY. THE FLAPS CAN BE DAMAGED BY INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED COMPONENTS.
(c)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to move the ball screw nut to the position shown in Fig. 402.
(d)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
a) 415M24 ALT OUTBD TE FLAPS
(e)
Make sure the aftflap is in the position shown in Section B-B, Fig. 401.

If the dimension is not in the tolerance, do this task: "Aftflap Drive Mechanism Adjustment" (Ref Paragraph 16).
