Install The Inboard Flap Track Fairing

If you will install used parts, examine the parts for worn areas (AMM 27-51-26/601).

Install the hinge, if you removed it (Detail B, Fig. 401).
(a)
Install a bushing (14) in the hinge fitting.
(b)
Align the hinge fitting (11) and the hinge link (10) with the bolt hole.

(c) Install the hinge bolt (26), shims (28), washers (12 and 25), and the nut (13).
NOTE:____ Do not tighten the nut.
(d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) Align the hinge fitting and two adjustable rods with the tiebolt hole.Install the tiebolt, washers (5 and 7) and the nut (4).Install the countersunk washer between the adjustable rod and the tiebolt lock (8).Install the tiebolt clevis. Make sure the tiebolt clevis is parallel to the ground.Install the tiebolt lock, if it is necessary.Tighten the nuts on the tiebolt and hinge bolt to 550-650 pound-inches (62-73 N-m).
(3) S 034-015Remove the snubber block (2) and shims (3) from the fairing (Detail C, Fig. 401).
NOTE:____ The snubber block will be installed when the fairing is adjusted.
(4) S 014-016Remove the access panels as necessary: - 563BB, 563CB, 563DB and 563EB from track No. 3 - 561AB, 561BB, 561CB and 561DB from track No. 4 - 661AB, 661BB, 661CB and 661DB from track No. 5 - 663BB, 663CB, 663DB and 663EB from track No. 6.
(5) S 494-017Put the fairing in the handling dolly.
(6) S 494-031Attach the fairing to the handling dolly with the straps.
(7) S 494-018Attach the bootstrap clamp to the flap track.
(8) S 494-030Attach two fishpole hoists to the bootstrap clamp and handling dolly.
