Disconnect the carriage and toggle from the outboard foreflap (Ref 27-51-05/401).

Remove the outboard foreflap carriage and toggle (Fig. 401).

Remove the bolts from the links which hold the forward side of the foreflap cam track.
(b)
Remove the lower roller from each side of the foreflap carriage and toggle.
(c)
Lift the carriage from the flap track.
(d)
Install the rollers on the carriage.

Install the outboard foreflap carriage and toggle.
(a)
Remove the lower rollers from each side of the foreflap carriage and toggle.
(b)
Put the carriage and toggle in its position on the flap track.
(c)
Install the bolt, washers, roller, and the nut on each side of the carriage.

Lubricate the carriage and toggle with grease.

Move the carriage and toggle aft and engage the toggle roller into the track detent.

Install the links, bolts, and the nuts which attach the forward end of the foreflap to the cam tracks.

_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
CAUTION:_______MONITOR THE FLAP MOVEMENT CAREFULLY. THE FLAPS CAN BE DAMAGED BY INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED COMPONENTS.

Extend and retract the flaps. Make sure that the flaps move freely.
