If you will install used parts, do this task: "Outboard Aftflap Drive Mechanism Inspection" (AMM 27-51-40/601).

Attach the pushrod (1) to the geneva cam (Section H-H, Fig. 401):
(a)
Make sure the aftflap is attached to the midflap.
(b)
Make sure the length between the centerlines of the bolt holes on the pushrod (1) is 36.89 inches (937.0 mm). 1) Adjust the length of the pushrods if it is necessary.

2) Install the lockwire on the checknuts.
(c)
Install the bushing (72) in the geneva cam.
(d)
Put the pushrod (1) in the geneva cam and install the washer (69).
(e)
Attach the pushrod with the bolt (67), washers (68 and 70), and nut (71).
(f)
Tighten the nut to 120 pound-inches (14 N-m). Continue to tighten the nut to align the subsequent cotter pin hole.
(g)
Install the cotter pin.
