WARNING:_______DO NOT MOVE THE ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET SWITCH. IF YOU MOVE THE SWITCH, THE FLAPS CAN MOVE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(7) Manually turn the torque tubes in the extend direction until the downstops on the inboard flap ballscrews touch (approximately 3 turns).
NOTE: use the strap wrench to control the motion of the torque

tubes.
(a) Make sure that at least one ballscrew downstop on each side touches. If no ballscrew downstops on one side touch, measure and record this gap as the 'Y' dimension of the ballscrews.

Remove the strap wrench.

Remove the No-Coast Drag Brake

(1)
Disconnect the torque tube from the no-coast drag brake (Fig. 402):
(a)
Remove the three screws (7) that attach the coupling sleeve to the torque tube on the two sides of the drag brake (1).
(b)
Move the torque tubes away from the drag brake.
NOTE:____Do not turn the torque tubes. If you turn the torque tubes, it will be necessary to do the flap system adjustment.

Remove the no-coast drag brake:
(a)
Remove the two bolts (2), washers (6), and nuts (5).
(b)
Remove the drag brake from the airplane.
(c)
Remove the support (4) and the safety strap (3).
