Prepare for the Removal

(1) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201)

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the trailing edge flaps.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Make sure the landing gear ground locks are installed.

_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove the Flap Actuator

Disconnect the electrical connector (Fig. 401).

Remove the flap actuator:
(a)
Remove the bolts, washers and nuts that attach the actuator to the input lever and to the housing.
(b)
Remove the actuator from the housing.

Install the flap actuator (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the actuator into the housing.
(b)
Attach the actuator to the housing and the input lever with the bolts, washers and nuts.
