C. Procedure
S 864-007
(1) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system No. 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the outboard flaps and attach a DO-NOT-MOVE tag.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system No. 4: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Remove the adjustable rod (Fig. 401):
(a)
Hold the outboard flap track fairing in the extended position.
(b)
ON TRACKS N0./1 AND 8; Disconnect the forward door link from the adjustable rod (Section G-G): 1) Remove the bolt, washers and nut from the adjustable rod. 2) Move the forward door link away from the adjustable rod. 3) Remove the bushings from the forward door link and the
adjustable rod.
(c)
Disconnect the adjustable rod from the support fitting (Section F-F): 1) Remove the bolt, washers and nut from the adjustable rod. 2) Remove the bushings from the support fitting.
(d)
Disconnect the adjustable rod from the fixed drive link (Section/B-B): 1) Remove the bolt, washers and nut from the fixed drive link.
