Remove the No-Coast Drag Brake

(1)
Disconnect the torque tube from the no-coast drag brake (Fig. 402):
(a)
Remove the three screws (7) that attach the coupling sleeve to the torque tube on the two sides of the drag brake (1).
(b)
Move the torque tubes away from the drag brake.
NOTE:____Do not turn the torque tubes. If you turn the torque tubes, it will be necessary to do the flap system adjustment.

Remove the no-coast drag brake:
(a)
Remove the two bolts (2), washers (6), and nuts (5).
(b)
Remove the drag brake from the airplane.
(c)
Remove the support (4) and the safety strap (3).

(1) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Put the flap control lever in the 30-unit detent to extend the trailing edge flaps and attach a DO-NOT-MOVE tag.

Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Do the step that follows to limit the movement of the torque tubes.
(a)
Attach a strap wrench on the torque tubes next to the no-coast drag brake.
NOTE: The strap wrench must supply approximately 100
____ inch-pounds (11 N-m) of resistance to the torque tubes.

Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to the ALTN position.
