C. Prepare To Adjust The Inboard Flap Track Fairing (Fig. 501)
S 015-002
(1) Remove the access panels from the fairing as necessary:
-563BB, 563CB, 563DB, and 563EB from track No. 3
-561AB, 561BB, 561CB, and 561DB from track No. 4
-661AB, 661BB, 661CB, and 661DB from track No. 5
-663BB, 663CB, 663DB, and 663EB from track No. 6.

Hold the fairing.

Disconnect the drive rod from the fixed link.
NOTE: The fairing will not touch the flaps when the flaps are
____ retracted if the drive rod is disconnected.

(4) Pressurize hydraulic system No. 1 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
CAUTION:_______MONITOR THE FLAP MOVEMENT CAREFULLY. THE FLAPS CAN BE DAMAGED BY INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED COMPONENTS.

Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the inboard flaps.

Release the pressure in hydraulic system No. 1 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

On fairings No. 3 and 6, initially adjust the drive rod and support fitting as shown on Detail E and Section D-D.
