Install the fuse bolt and washer as shown in section A-A, Fig. 401.

(g) Use a spanner wrench adapter to tighten the nut. 1) Tighten the nut on the inboard track to 900 pound-inches (102 N-m). 2) Tighten the nut on the outboard track to 600 pound-inches (68 N-m).
3) Continue to tighten the nut until the slot in the nut and the bolt are aligned.
NOTE: Do not tighten the nut on the inboard track to more
____ than 1300 pound-inches (147 N-m). Do not tighten the nut on the outboard track to more than 900 pound-inches (102 N-m).
(h)
Fill the empty space in the fuse bolt with BMS 3-24 grease.
(i)
Install the plugs, lock cap, bolt, washer, and nut.
(j)
Tighten the nut to 12-15 pound-inches (1.4-1.7 N-m).
(k)
Install the cotter pin.
(l)
Align the flap track with the attach fitting.
(m)
Apply a layer of sealant to the bottom of the head and the shank of the mounting bolts.
(n)
Install the self-aligning washers on the two mounting bolts and install the bolts.
(o)
Install the lube washers on the mounting bolts.
NOTE: The lube fittings must point 85 to 95 degrees away from
____
the flap track.
(p)
Install the nuts.
(q)
Tighten the nuts to 1000-1400 pound-inches (113-158 N-m).
(r)
Remove the sling from the flap track.
(s)
Apply sealant to the bottom of the bolt heads and the washers.
(t)
Apply a bead of sealant between the washer, below the bolt head, and the fitting.
(u)
Apply a layer of sealant to the bolt head and washer.

Measure the clearance between the flap track and the bearing plate:
(a)
Let the mounting bolts hold the weight of the flap track.
(b)
Make sure that the clearance between the flap track top surface and the bearing plate is in the limits of Section B-B, Fig. 401.
(9)
Install the support strap with four bolts, washers and nuts.
