Remove an outboard flap track (Ref 27-51-27/401).

Examine the outboard flap track fuse bolt and related parts for worn parts.
(a)
Remove the parts to be measured.
(b)
Measure the parts.
NOTE: Use a micrometer and/or a vernier caliper.

(c)
Compare the measured dimensions to permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.
(d)
Repair or replace the parts which are not in the tolerance, as shown in Fig. 601.

Examine the attach fitting bearing plates for worn areas.
(a)
Let the mounting bolts hold the weight of the flap track.
(b)
Make sure that the clearance between the flap track top surface and the bearing plate is in the tolerance shown on Section A-A, Fig. 601.
(c)
Measure the clearances as shown in Fig. 601.
(d)
If the clearances are not in the permitted limits, examine the parts for worn areas.
(e)
Replace the parts if it is necessary.

Install an outboard flap track (Ref 27-51-27/401)
