MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(1) General
(a)
Performance parameters for environmental data, engine gas flow data, engine oil data and engine vibration data are presented for display.
(b)
The following EIU interface sources are used to obtain the data required to generate the EICAS performance maintenance display. 1) SAT, CAS, MACH and ALT are received by the EIU on an ARINC
429 data bus from the Air Data Computer (ADC). 2) TAT is received by the EIU from either the Flight
Management Computer (FMC) or the ADC. 3) Gross weight is received from the FMC. 4) EPR MAX is received by the EIU from either the FMC or the
Electronic Propulsion Control System (EPCS). 5) The EPCS also supplies EPR, EPR CMD, EGT, burner pressure and oil temperature data.
6) N1 and N2 rotor speeds are received by the EIU from the EPCS or alternately as direct inputs from analog sensors located within the engines.
7) Duct pressure is received from the Air Supply Control and Test Unit (ASCTU). 8) Ground speed, true track angle, and latitude are received from the Inertial Reference Units (IRUs). 9) Fuel flow, fuel pressure, oil pressure and oil quantity are received by the EIU as direct variable analog signals. 10) Vibration data is received from the Airborn Vibration Monitor Unit (AVM).
(2)
Gross Weight
(a) Displayed in units of kgm/1000.
(3)
Total Air Temperature (TAT)
(a) Displayed in units of °C (Celsius).
(4)
Altitude (ALT)
(a) Displayed in units of feet.
(5)
Mach Number (MACH)
(a) Displayed value is the ratio of true airspeed to the local speed of sound.
(6)
Static Air Temperature (SAT)
(a) Displayed in units of °C (Celsius).
(7)
Ground Speed (GS)
(a) Displayed in units of knots.
(8)
