 M. Ice/Rain Protection System Interface (Fig. 74)
 (1)  
Digital discretes are received by the EIUs on ARINC 429 data buses from the Window Heat Control Units (WHCU). This data is processed by EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.

 (2)  
Analog data is received by the EIUs as direct analog inputs. This data is processed by the EIUs for display on the EICAS primary and compacted formats, and the EICAS ECS synoptic format.

 (3)  
The data obtained from the interface is also processed by the EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.


 N. Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Interface (Fig. 75)
 (1)  
Digital inputs are received by the EIUs on an ARINC 429 data bus from the APU controller (APUCTL).

 (2)  
Data for APU EGT, N1, N2, and oil quantity is processed by the EIUs for display on the EICAS status format.


 O. Weight and Balance Computer (WBC) Interface (Fig. 76)
 (1)  Digital discrete data from the Weight and Balance Computer (WBC) is received by the EIUs on an ARINC 429 data bus. This data is processed by the EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.
