The MAG or TRU annunciation and the transition box are removed for a

failed up-reference source. AE. Compass Rose
 (1)
The heading/track tape exhibits a total travel of 360°.

 (2)
The tape symbology rotates in response to up-reference IRU data.

 (3)
For NCD IRU heading, the tape numerics are removed.

 (4)
For failed IRU heading, the heading tape scale, tick marks, heading pointer and background are removed and the HDG flag (Fig. 10C) is displayed.

 AF. Selected Heading Pointer

 (2)
If the selected heading is out of view on the compass, the pointer is parked at the appropriate side of the compass rose.

 (3)
For NCD or failed FCC selected heading or invalid IRU heading, the

pointer is removed. AG. Barometric Altitude Tape (Fig. 10B)
 (1)
General

 (a)
The display consists of a calibrated barometric altitude scale which moves against a fixed pointer.

 (b)
The barometric altitude tape presents a full scale range of 806 ft at any one time.

 (c)
Indices are placed at every 100 ft. Numerics are placed against the indices at 200 ft intervals.

 (d)
The readout digits move to simulate the rolling motion of a drum type readout.

 (2)
Selected Altitude Readout/Pointer

 (a)
FCC selected altitude is displayed by a numeric readout located above the altitude tape.

 (b)
A selected altitude pointer is placed on the altitude tape at the FCC selected altitude. If the selected altitude is out of the display range of the altitude tape, the pointer is parked at the appropriate end of the altitude tape.

 (c)
A metric selected altitude is displayed above the selected altitude if the MTRS switch on the EFIS Control Panel is pressed. The metric selected altitude is displayed by a numeric readout followed by an M legend.

 (d)
IF ADC barometric altitude is NCD or failed, or if FCC selected altitude is invalid, the readout (including metric) and pointer are removed.

 (3)
Current Barometric Altitude

 (a)  General 1) Displayed by a digital readout enclosed by an index pointer. 2) As altitude changes, the tape moves so that the current altitude is indicated by the tip of the index pointer.
 3)  Metric altitude is displayed when the MTRS switch on the EFIS Control Panel is pressed. The metric altitude is surrounded by a box and the readout is followed by an M legend.
 4)  For NCD or failed ADC barometric altitude, the readout and enclosing index pointer box are removed.
 (b)  Altitude Alert/Advisory 1) An altitude advisory from the MAWEA is annunciated by a white box displayed around the altitude readout.
 2)  An altitude alert from the MAWEA is indicated by the index pointer box surrounding the altitude readout changing from white to yellow in color.
 (4)  Minimum Descent Altitude (MDA)
 (a)
Selected MDA is indicated by a pointer and numeric readout with an MDA legend.

 (b)
The selected MDA is adjusted using the DH/MDA control on the EFIS Control Panel
