MAINTENANCE MANUAL
T. PITCH/ROLL Annunciation
(1)
The PITCH annunciation is displayed if the CAPT pitch display drive value differs from the F/O's display drive value by three degrees or more for at least 0.75 seconds.
(2)
The ROLL annunciation is displayed if the CAPT roll display drive value differs from the F/O's display drive value by three degrees or more for at least 0.75 seconds.
U. Selected Runway Course
(1)
Indicates selected Instrument Landing System (ILS) runway course.
(2)
Displayed by a CRS legend and digital readout.
(3)
If selected runway course from selected ILS receiver is NCD, the digital readout is replaced by three dashes.
(4)
If selected course from L,C,R ILS receivers are not identical, a yellow colored horizontal line is drawn through the CRS legend and digital readout.
(5)
If selected runway course from selected ILS receiver is failed, the CRS legend and digital readout are removed.
V. Airspeed Tape (Fig. 10A)
(1)
General
(a)
The display consists of a calibrated airspeed tape which moves against a fixed pointer. The pointer represents the current CAS (computed airspeed).
(b)
The airspeed tape presents a full range CAS of 121 knots.
(c)
Indices are placed at ten knot intervals from 30 to 990 knots.
(d)
Numerics are placed against the indices every 20 knots from 40 to 980 knots.
(e)
The airspeed tape limits and displays 30 knots for CAS inputs of 30 knots or less.
(2)
Selected Target Speed/Mach Readout
(a)
Displayed by a numeric readout located above the airspeed tape.
(b)
If FMC selected Mach is valid, the readout displays selected Mach, otherwise, FCC selected airspeed is displayed.
(c)
Mach values are preceded by a period.
(d)
If FCC airspeed is NCD, the readout is replaced by three dashes.
(e)
If FCC airspeed is failed, the readout is removed and the SEL SPD message (Fig. 10C) is displayed.
(f)
If ADC CAS is failed, the readout is removed.
(3)
Maximum Operating Speed
(a)
Displayed by a red and black colored barber pole which extends down from the top of the airspeed tape.
(b)
The bottom edge of the barber pole indicates the maximum operating speed for the current flap and gear configuration.
(c)
The barber pole is not displayed if the maximum operating speed is not in view on the airspeed tape.
(d)
The barber pole is removed for failed ADC CAS.
(e)
The barber pole is removed and the SPD LIM message (Fig. 10C) is displayed for NCD or failed FMC maximum operating speed.
(4)
Maximum Maneuver Speed
(a) Indicated by a yellow colored tick mark and vertical line.

MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(b)
The line extends from the maximum operating speed to the maximum maneuver speed tick mark.
(c)
The maximum maneuver speed tick mark indicates the highest speed at which maneuver margin to high speed buffet is maintained.
(d)
If the maximum operating speed is not in view on the airspeed tape, the yellow line extends down from the top of the airspeed top the maximum maneuver speed.
(e)
If the maximum maneuver speed is not in view on the airspeed tape, the yellow line and tick mark are not displayed.
(f)
For NCD or failed FMC maximum maneuver speed or failed ADC CAS, the yellow line and tick mark are removed.
