Data such as control wheel, rudder pedal and column position is also received by the EIUs from the SPDs, this data is processed for display on the EICAS flight controls maintenance format.
(3)
The data obtained from the interface is also processed by the EIU for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.
I. Flap System Interface (Fig. 70)
(1)
Digital discrete data for leading and trailing edge flaps is received by the EIUs on ARINC 429 data buses from the Flap Control Units (FCUs). This data is processed for display on the EICAS primary and compacted formats, and the EICAS flight controls maintenance format.
(2)
Flap position and flap lever position is also received from the FCUs. This data is processed for display on the EICAS primary and compacted formats.
(3)
Data such as trailing edge flap, flap actuator, flap drive RVDT, flap handle RVDT, and horizontal stabilizer position is received by the EIUs from the FCUs. This data is processed for display on the EICAS flight controls maintenance format.
(4)
The data obtained from the interface is also processed by the EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.
J. Automatic Stabilizer Trim Interface (Fig. 71)
(1) Digital discrete data from the Stabilizer Rudder Module (SRM) is received by the EIUs on an ARINC 429 data bus. This data is processed by the EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.
K. Oxygen System Interface (Fig. 72)
(1)
Analog information for the crew and passenger oxygen pressure is received by the EIUs as direct analog inputs. This information is processed for display on the EICAS status format.
(2)
The analog signals received from the interface are also processed by the EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status messages.
L. Fire Protection System Interface (Fig. 73)
(1) Analog discrete inputs for smoke or fire protection are received by the EIUs as direct analog discrete inputs. This analog data is also processed by the EIUs for the generation of EICAS crew alerting and status formats.
