 (d)  Make sure that these indications occur when the software loading is done: 1) The COMP indicator is on. 2) The RDY indicator is off. 3) The PROG indicator is off.
 NOTE: Approximate LRU loading times are:

 (e)  Push the eject button and remove the diskette from the disk drive.

If you loaded software in one, two or three EIUs,

 (a)
Open and then close the applicable EIU circuit breaker:

 1)  P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) 7F9, EIU L
 b) 7F10, EIU C
 c) 7F15, EIU R

 (b)  
Stop a minimum of 12 seconds to let the EIU to warm-up.

 (4)  If you loaded software in all three EIU's,
 (a)  Open this circuit breaker:
 1)  P415, Power Distribution Center - Right Panel a) 415L39, CMC RIGHT

 (b) (c)  Open and then close this circuit breaker: 1) P414, Power Distribution Center - Left Panel a) 414L8, CMC LEFTStop until the <CMC prompt appears on the CDU main menu.
 NOTE:____ It can take up to 5 minutes for the <CMC prompt to appear.
 (d)  Push the LSK (line select key) adjacent to the <CMC prompt to show the CMC menu.
 NOTE:____ If the CMC menu is not shown, push the <RETURN LSK, if it is necessary, until you see the menu.

Push the <OTHER FUNCTIONS LSK to show the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu.

 (o)  
Push the <CONFIGURATION LSK to show the CONFIGURATION menu.

 (p)  
Push the <CENTRAL MAINTENANCE LSK to show the CENTRAL
 MAINTENANCE menu.

 (q)  
Push the <CMC-R LSK.

 (r)  
Verify the correct EIU S/W P/N is shown next to LSK 5L.

 (s)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P414, Power Distribution Center - Left Panel a) 414L8, CMC LEFT

 (5)  Do a check of the software installation:
 (a)  
Set the GND TESTS switch on the P461 panel to the ENABLE position.

 (b)  
Set the INBD CRT and LWR CRT switches on the two display transfer modules to the NORM position.

 (c)  
Set the EIU SEL switch on the EICAS control panel/FMC switch to the C position.

 (d)  
Set the EIU switch on the captain's source select module to the L position.

 (e)  
Set the EIU switch on the first officer's source select module to the R position. 1) Make sure the outboard IDUs show the PFD format. 2) Make sure the inboard IDUs show the ND format. 3) Make sure the upper EICAS IDU shows the primary engine
