(8) Do a test of the MDA option:
(a) Push the numeric key on the CDU to key in 500, then push the LSK adjacent to <MDA SET. 1) Make sure the CDU and the PFD show a value of 500 for the
MDA.

(9) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7F11, EFIS CONT L
2) 7F16, EFIS CONT R

(10) Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7F11, EFIS CONT L
2) 7F16, EFIS CONT R

(2) Prepare the CDU to become the EICAS DSP:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the Captain's (First Officer's) CDU. 1) Make sure the CDU shows the MENU page.
(b)
Push the LSK adjacent to EICAS CP SELECT> prompt. 1) Make sure the CDU shows the EICAS MODES page.

(3) Do a test of the Alternate EICAS DSP:
(a)
Push the LSK adjacent to <STAT. 1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the status page.
(b)
Push the LSK adjacent to FUEL>.
1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the synoptic page for the fuel system.
(c)
Push the LSK adjacent to GEAR>.
1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the synoptic page for the landing gear system.
(d)
Push the LSK adjacent to SYNOPTICS>. 1) Make sure the CDU shows the EICAS SYNOPTICS page.
(e)
Push the LSK adjacent to <ELEC. 1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the electrical synoptic page.
(f)
Push the LSK adjacent to <ECS.
1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the synoptic page for the environmental control system.

Push the LSK adjacent to HYD>.
1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the synoptic page for the hydraulic system.
(h)
Push the LSK adjacent to DOORS>.
1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the synoptic page for the doors.
(i)
Push the LSK adjacent to MODES>. 1) Make sure the CDU shows the EICAS MODES page.
(j)
Push the LSK adjacent to <ENG.
1) Make sure the lower IDU shows the secondary engine parameter.
(k)
Push the LSK adjacent to <CANC.
1) Make sure the EICAS primary engine parameters page does not show caution level or advisory level messages.
NOTE: It may be necessary to push the CANC button more
____ than once to remove all of the caution and the advisory level messages.
(l) Push the LSK adjacent to RCL>.
1) Make sure the EICAS primary engine parameters page shows caution level or advisory level messages.
