 INTEGRATED DISPLAY UNIT - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General_______
 A.  This subject has two tasks. The first task is to clean the CRT face of the integrated display unit (IDU). The second task is to clean the air inlet screen at the rear of the IDU.
 B.  There are six IDUs in the flight compartment. Two IDUs are on the captain's instrument panel. Two IDUs are on the first officer's instrument panel. One IDU is on the center of the instrument panel. One IDU is on the forward electronic panel.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE SOLVENT TO CLEAN THE IDU'S CRT. DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  Remove grease and dirt from the surface of the IDU display screen with the glass cleaner and cloth.

 NOTE:____ The inlet screen is found at the rear of the IDU.
 (3)  S 422-044Install the IDU (AMM 31-61-02/401).
