(b)
Additionally, EICAS subsystem information (such as ECS, FMS, PSEU or FCU data) is also presented for display on the EICAS primary format.
(c)
The following paragraphs describe the various parameters which
are indicated on the EICAS primary display.Thrust Mode
(a)
The FMC thrust mode annunciator is displayed by a green colored alphanumeric readout. The thrust modes are Take Off (TO), Climb (CLB), Continuous (CON), Cruise (CRZ) and Go Around (G/A).
(b)
A temperature derate will be annunciated by the letter D placed to the left of the thrust mode. A FMC derate 1, derate 2, or derate 3 is annunciated by a number 1, 2, or 3 placed to the right of the thrust mode. An FMC take off bump is annunciated by the letter B placed to the right of the thrust mode. For example, D-TO 1 indicates an FMC temperature derate 1 takeoff thrust mode.
(c)
The EICAS provides the capability to annunciate the following FMC thrust modes: ~........................................................... | TO | D-TO | CLB | CON | CRZ | G/A | ............................................................. | TO 1 | D-TO 1 | CLB 1 | CON 1 | CRZ 1 | G/A 1 | ............................................................. | TO 2 | D-TO 2 | CLB 2 | CON 2 | CRZ 2 | G/A 2 | ............................................................. | TO 3 | D-TO 3 | CLB 3 | CON 3 | CRZ 3 | G/A 3 | ............................................................. | TO B | D-TO B | | | | | 2........…..........….........….........….........….........1
Total Air Temperature (TAT)
(a)
This parameter is normally obtained from the FMC. If the FMC TAT becomes invalid, the parameter will be obtained from the ADC. TAT is displayed by a digital readout in units of degrees Celsius, including a positive or negative sign.
EPR Reference
(a)
The FMC generated Engine Pressure Ratio (EPR) reference values for each engine are displayed by green colored readouts.
(b)
A thrust reverser annunciator will overwrite the respective EPR reference readout when the thrust reverser is either in transit or deployed. The REV annunciator will be colored amber while the thrust reverser is in transit or green when the thrust reverser is deployed. While the thrust reverser is stowed, the EPR reference value is displayed.

EPR Actual
(a)
The actual EPR values are received from the respective Electronic Engine Controllers (EECs) and displayed by white colored digital readouts (enclosed in boxes) and by analog thermometers. The analog EPR displays are limited at EPR minimum (bottom of scale) and 0.05 inches beyond the top of the thermometer, however, the digital readouts will continue to display the actual value.
(b)
At engine power-up, if EPR maximum is invalid for all engines, then the EPR thermometers will be removed. After engine power-up has occurred, if EPR maximum becomes invalid for all engines, the EPR thermometers will be displayed using the last valid EPR maximum value. This allows for the retention of the EPR thermometers during thrust reverser deployment.
(6)
EPR Maximum
(a)
EPR maximum is displayed by two adjacent amber colored bars located at or near the top of the analog EPR thermometers. The EPR maximum symbol for the engine with the highest EPR maximum will be positioned at the top of the respective EPR thermometer. The symbols for the other engines will be positioned (scaled) with respect to the engine with the highest computed EPR maximum.
