The Cabin Differential Pressure (.P) readout is normally white in color. For .P between 8.9 and 9.1 psi, or between -1.0 and -0.5 psi, the readout is amber in color. For .P greater than 9.1 psi or less than -1.0 psi, the readout is red in color.

 (e)  
Landing Altitude (LDG ALT) is displayed by a numeric readout and mode annunciator (MAN/AUTO). The readout and annunciator are removed when the left and right outflow valves are in manual control.

 Selected Temperature

 (a)  This parameter is obtained from the FMC. The crew manually enters the selected temperature into the FMC through the CDU. The units of the readout are indicated by a C (Celsius).

 (23)
 Static Air Temperature

 (a)  Static air temperature (SAT) is obtained from the ADC. SAT is displayed on the lower right portion of the upper EICAS display. The units are in degrees of C (Celsius).

 (24)
 Gross Weight


 (a)  Gross weight (GROSS WT) is obtained from the FMC. GROSS WT is displayed on the lower right portion of the upper EICAS display. The units are in kgs x 1000.
 C. EICAS Secondary Display (Fig. 36)
 (1)  
General

 (a)  
The EICAS secondary page displays engine parameters which do not require constant monitoring by the flight crew. This format is selected for display on the auxiliary DU and presents information such as rotor speed, fuel flow, oil data and vibration.

 (b)  
The EICAS secondary engine parameter display may be selected either manually or automatically, and can be presented in either a full or partial format.

 (c)  
The secondary engine parameters are defined as N2, oil pressure, oil temperature, oil quantity and engine vibration.

 (d)  
If all of the secondary engine parameters are displayed, the format is termed secondary-full (Fig. 36). If some, but not all of the secondary engine parameters are displayed, the format is termed secondary-partial (Fig. 37).

 (e)  
The engine oil data (pressure, temperature and quantity) is displayed as a group.

 (f)  
The following paragraphs describe the various parameters which are indicated on the EICAS secondary display.

 

 (2)  
N2 Actual

 (a)  
The N2 values are received from the Electronic Engine Controllers (EECs) and analog sensors within the engines. N2 is indicated by digital readouts (enclosed in boxes) and analog thermometers. The readout, box and thermometer change from white to red in color as the N2 redline limit is exceeded.

 (b)  
For red line exceedances, the box enclosing the digital readout remains red in color after the exceedance no longer exists. This condition indicates that the exceedance history has been stored in the engine exceedance NVM. The color of the box may then be reset to white by pressing the CANC switch on the EICAS DSP. If an exceedance has been stored in NVM, the box can be returned to red in color by pressing the RCL switch on the EICAS DSP. This feature may be used during maintenance to indicate that an exceedance has occurred, and that snapshots of maintenance pages have been stored in memory.
