(4) Obtain Airplane System Information - Normal EICAS Configuration (Fig. 202)
(a)
Upon application of electrical power, make sure the EICAS primary and EICAS secondary formats are on the main and auxiliary DUs, respectively.

(b)
Press STAT key on EICAS DSP to check airplane status prior to dispatch. Make sure EICAS primary format is on main DU and EICAS status format is on auxiliary DU.

NOTE: The triangular pointers which indicate surface positions
____ on the EICAS status page do not translate to the end of the scale when the surface is at full travel.
(c)
Press ENG key on EICAS DSP to view secondary engine parameters. Make sure EICAS primary format is on main DU and EICAS secondary format is on auxiliary DU.

(d)
Press ELEC, FUEL, ECS, HYD, DRS or GEAR key on EICAS DSP to view respective synoptic format. Make sure EICAS primary is on main DU and respective synoptic format is on auxiliary DU.

(e)
Select EICAS maintenance page through CDU (Fig. 202). 1) Press MENU key on CDU. Make sure main menu page is displayed. 2) Press line select key next to <CMC. Make sure the CDU displays CMC MENU page 1. 3) Press line select key next to <EICAS MAINT PAGES. Make sure the EICAS MAINT PAGES menu is displayed on CDU.

4) Select the desired EICAS Maintenance page from the EICAS MAINT PAGES menu. a) Press NEXT PAGE key on CDU to view subsequent pages of
EICAS MAINT PAGES menu. b) Press the line select key next to the prompt for the desired maintenance page. c) Make sure the EICAS PAGE CONTROL menu for the selected maintenance page is displayed on CDU. 5) Select <DISPLAY to view the real time maintenance page format on the auxiliary DU.

6) Select <RECORD to cause the IDS to take a snapshot of the real time maintenance page.
7) Select <MANUAL SNAPSHOTS to display a list of available manual snapshots. Press the line select key next to one of the listed flight legs to view that snapshot on the auxiliary DU.
8) Select <AUTO SNAPSHOTS to display a list of available automatic snapshots. Press the line select key next to one of the listed flight legs to view that snapshot on the auxiliary DU.
9) Press a key on the EICAS DSP to change the display on the auxiliary DU from a maintenance page to a secondary engine or synoptic format.
(f)
Press ENG key on EICAS DSP while EICAS secondary format is displayed on auxiliary DU. Make sure the auxiliary DU is blanked.
