MAWEA POWER SUPPLY UNITS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. These tasks are the removal and the installation of the MAWEA power supplies.
B. There are two MAWEA power supply units. Each unit receives 115 volts AC and supplies the MAWEA chassis with +5.7 volts and |12.7 volts dc power. There are two lights, one for each power supply unit, on the MAWEA monitor panel. The lights come on when a power supply does not operate.
C. There are jacks on the MAWEA monitor panel to do a check for the +5.7V and |12.7V outputs.

C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A01, MAWEA PWR A
2) 7B01, MAWEA PWR B

Loosen the four screws on the access door for the MAWEA power supply.

Remove the access door.
(4)
Loosen the wedge clamps on each side of the power supply unit.
(5)
Loosen the screw in the center of the power supply unit.
(6)
Remove the applicable power supply unit.

D. Procedure

(1) Install the MAWEA power supply A:
(a)
Connect one terminal of the meter to the electrostatic jack located at the bottom right corner of the MAWEA chassis.
(b)
Connect the other terminal of the meter to the "A" GND test point on the MAWEA POWER SUPPLY monitor panel located at the top center of the MAWEA chassis. 1) Make sure the meter value is greater than 10 megaohms.
