Weather Radar Data
(a) The weather radar mode, tilt angle and gain are displayed by green colored readouts. This data is displayed when the weather radar is selected on.

Weather Radar Return
(a)
Weather radar data is received by the navigation display directly from the weather radar system.
(b)
The data received from each weather radar scan is plotted along with the map background data at the proper scale.
(c)
If a mis-match is detected between the map scale and the weather scale, the weather radar returns are removed.
(d)
Between scans, the weather radar data is rotated and translated so that the proper orientation and distance from the airplane symbol is maintained.

Selected Heading
(a)
The AFDS Mode Control Panel selected heading is displayed by a magenta colored bug and vector.
(b)
The bug and vector are displayed full time except when the engaged AFDS roll mode is LOC, ROLLOUT, or VNAV. For these modes, the bug is displayed for ten seconds after the selected heading is changed.
(c)
For NCD or invalid AFDS Mode Control Panel selected heading, the bug and vector are removed.

EXCESS DATA message
(a) If more map symbols are selected than can be displayed, the EXCESS DATA message will appear. The EXCESS DATA message is yellow in color.

TCAS Intruder Symbols:
(a) There are four TCAS intruder symbols:
-Resolution Advisory (red square with red fill),
-Traffic Advisory (yellow circle with yellow fill),
-Proximate Traffic (white diamond with white fill),
-No Threat (white diamond with no fill).

Vertical Speed Arrow: An arrow shown with the TCAS intruder symbols. The arrow represents the vertical speed and direction needed to avoid a collision. The arrow is the same color as the applicable symbol.
