 2)  Flap Lever
 a)  Flap lever position is displayed by a horizontal analog bar placed across the thermometer. A digital readout is placed adjacent to the flap lever analog bar. When the flap lever is set to zero degrees, the readout will display "UP".

 3)
4)
b)  The analog bar and readout reflect the actual detent position which is determined from the flap lever position input being within a detents nominal range. The flap lever position detent nominal ranges are specified below:
 ~........................................... | ACTUAL | NOMINAL RANGE | | DETENT | OF DETENT | ............................................. | 0 | 0.00- 0.25 | ............................................. | 1 | 0.75- 2.04 | ............................................. | 5 | 3.96- 6.29 | ............................................. | 10 | 8.71-12.55 | ............................................. | 20 | 17.45-21.27 | ............................................. | 25 | 23.73-26.31 | ............................................. | 30 | 28.68-30.05 | 2..................…........................1
 c)  When the flap lever position input is outside of the nominal range, the horizontal analog bar and readout are removed.
 d)  The horizontal analog bar and readout are green in color when both the LE and TE flaps are in a commanded detent, otherwise, they are colored magenta.
LE Flaps
 a)  LE flap position is indicated by thermometer displacement between the 0 and 1 detents.
 b)  Fully retracted is indicated by 0 displacement.
 c)  Fully extended is indicated by 1 displacement.
 d)  Intransit is indicated by 1/2 displacement.
 e)  The TE flaps are commanded to the up position with the flap lever in the 0 or 1 detents.
TE Flaps
 a)  The TE flap position is displayed by further extension of the thermometer beyond the 1 detent.
 b)  The TE flap position display is driven by either the left or right flap position (inbd or outbd) according to which position is the furthest from the flap lever position.
 c)  TE flap thermometer displacement is processed only when the TE flaps up discrete is false (TE flaps not up).

 d)  When the TE flaps are in a commanded detent and the analog flap lever bar is displayed, the thermometer is adjusted to equal the analog flap lever position bar. Otherwise, the analog thermometer will display the actual flap position.
 e)  The entire flap indicator will be removed after ten seconds if the flap lever position readout indicates UP, flap lever is in detent and the LE and TE flaps are in a commanded detent.
 (c) Multiple Flap-Primary Indicator 1) General a) Two pairs of thermometers are displayed to represent the left and right (inbd and outbd) TE flap positions. b) The analog thermometers are scaled with equally spaced flap lever detents for 0, 5, 10, 20, 25 and 30 degrees. The 0 (up/retracted) detent is at the top of the thermometer. c) The LE flaps are represented by unique symbology which displays the position of the outbd, mid span and inbd flap segments on the left and right wings. 2) Flap Lever a) The dynamic display of the flap lever position horizontal analog bars and digital readout is similar to that of the single flap indicator discussed above. b) For the multiple flap-primary indicator, the horizontal bars remain at the top of the thermometer for flap lever position detents of 0 and 1. 3) LE Flaps a) Leading edge flap positions are indicated by square-envelope symbology. A white, unfilled envelope is displayed if the LE flaps are up (retracted). A green, filled envelope is displayed if the LE flaps are down (extended). If the LE flaps are in transit, a white, cross-hatched envelope is displayed. b) If a LE flap segment disagrees with it's commanded position, the respective symbol will be colored amber. c) For all mid span and inbd (Group A) segments, if a LE flap Group A shutdown occurs, the left and right (mid span and inbd) symbols will be colored amber. d) For all outbd (Group B) segments, if a LE flap Group B shutdown occurs, the left and right (outbd) symbols will be colored amber. e) A LE flap sensor failure will cause the respective segment to be displayed by a UP symbol with a small amber colored letter x centralized within the symbol. f) If any LE flap parametric data becomes invalid, all LE indicators will display an UP symbol with a small amber colored letter x centralized within the symbol.
